Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Northbrook, IL

Position Overview:

The Tax Manager will be a key player in managing and coordinating clients' financial information to ensure the accurate and timely completion of partnership, corporate, individual, and fiduciary tax returns. This role also involves assisting the firm’s partners in reviewing and managing tax returns and providing expert tax consulting. The ideal candidate will directly engage with clients to offer tax planning services, address inquiries, and effectively communicate tax-related information.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare, review, and file partnership, corporate, individual, and fiduciary tax returns.
● Support partners in the review, management, and oversight of tax return preparation and tax consulting services.
● Engage directly with clients to provide tax planning, projections, and address tax-related concerns.
● Analyze financial documents, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
● Offer tax consulting on critical topics such as break-even analysis, entity choice, and income tax projections.
● Collaborate with colleagues and partners to resolve complex tax issues and escalate client concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

● CPA license required.
● A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting.
● Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
● Excellent communication skills, enabling direct client interaction and clear guidance.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
● Proficiency in financial analysis and thorough knowledge of relevant tax regulations.
